If you don't already know, you're probably wondering who Myer Briggs is and what s/he has to do with you. And I'm here to tell you this is a "what" and not a "who".

Myers--Briggs (short for Myers--Briggs Type Indicator) is essentially a test that can be taken in which the results single out specific personality qualities in a person which 'predicts' how said person perceives the world and makes decisions. There is a deeper history behind this psychological focused questionnaire and to learn more you can check it out here.

The cool thing about this Myers--Briggs test is that it can potentially show you sides of yourself that you didn't even know existed. It's not 100% accurate, but it gets it pretty darn close. Keep in mind, though, that like the seasons, your personality changes with time. Your Myers--Briggs at one point in life may and probably will not be the same as another point. Life changes due to circumstances as does the human.

With that all being said, let's move on!

The Myers--Briggs assessment not only shows you traits you may have but also can help direct you to potential things/activities you may be interested in. Think of it like a career aptitude test which helps direct you towards a career you should pursue based off your skills and personality.

There are a total of 16 personality variations - find out yours by taking the test here.

If you want a quick summary of each type look here -- Personality Types.

Here are some hobbies that coincide with the different personalities. Check out the list to see if there are any you'd be interested in looking into!

And to be clear - these are only suggestions. Do your own research into things you may like and just see where life takes you. There are so many different types of hobbies in this world - don't limit yourself to just these.

Just because one personality type says you'd be interested in certain hobbies doesn't give you the invitation to limit your personal exploration. Life is about learning things that interest you and while many feel their personality makes up their whole identity, the truth is there is so much more to who you are. Your own preferences also help to shape that identity. So go outside your comfort zone and try something new today! You may end up surprising yourself.
